Steve graduated with a degree in Professional Tennis Management. He played 4 years of NCAA collegiate tennis at Ferris State University, MI, where he scored several wins over nationally ranked collegiate players and won the USTA Midwest Indoor Championships in Grand Rapids.
Steve is an Elite USRSA Professional which is the highest certified qualification a coach can get. He also has his Level 1 certification in USTA Sports Science. Steve is certified through Tennissmith in both the GreatBase Initiative and Tennis Intelligence courses as well. He is also a USRSA certified pickle ball instructor.
He has 20 years of coaching experience and has trained professional players in the top 300 as well as many top ranked players in Northern California. Some have finished #1 in the section and top 5 nationally in 18s.
Steve is very passionate about the game of tennis and loves helping people improve no matter what level they are.

Claire is originally from Tucson, Arizona where she started playing tennis at the age of 4. She competed in the Southwest section and traveled nationally playing tournaments. She regularly held the #1 ranking in the Southwest section and reached as high as #9 in the country in the juniors.
Claire received a full tennis scholarship to Saint Mary’s College of California where she earned a degree in Kinesiology. She also has a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. While at Saint Mary’s Claire reached a high of #25 in NCAA Division 1 doubles and helped her team win the West Coast Conference title for the first time in school history.
Prior to SMC she competed in some professional futures where she traveled internationally for a year before deciding to play college tennis.
She has 15 years of coaching experience with both beginners and advanced players. She was heavily involved with the junior development program at Moraga Country Club for 7 years. She is coming from Club Sport Pleasanton where she was a vital part of their tennis programs.
Claire loves to work with players of all levels whether they are just starting or are a seasoned player. She is USPTA certified in both tennis and pickleball

Aoife graduated from Tyler Junior College in Texas where she was an NJCAA All-American two years in a row. She was ranked #1 in the country and won the national community college singles title 2 years in a row. She then went to play Division 1 Tennis at the University of Alabama. She graduated with a degree in Sports Fitness Management.
Aoife has taught tennis in Ireland and has an Ireland Level 3 certification as well as USPTA/PTR certification. She enjoys teaching privates and clinics to all ages with an emphasis on stroke mechanics and development. She is a big part of our program and trains both juniors and adults.

Brendan has been helping all levels of tennis players hone their fundamentals and skills at Brookside Tennis Training for the past 10 years. He is certified in the GreatBase system.
Brendan has been coaching tennis for the last 14 years and has worked with a wide variety of ages and levels while coaching at numerous different academies in the area before coming to Brookside. He is one of the best coaches in the area with developing players and building the foundation they need to succeed in this sport. He works with many players from St Mary’s College , UCLA, and even the pro tour.
Brendan captained the Los Gatos High School Varsity tennis team to 2 CCS quarterfinals over his 3 year span as the team captain.
He brings lots of energy and enthusiasm to the court while coaching. He hopes the kids he coaches develop the love for the game that he has. He is a vital part of our program and coaches in the homeschool, elite, challenger, early development and adult clinics

André is originally from São Paulo, Brazil, where he started playing tennis at the age of 9. He went on to compete at a high level, training alongside Bia Haddad Maia, currently one of the top ranked players on the WTA Tour, under renowned international coach Carlos Omaki and former French Open semi-finalist Pablo Albano. He also gained international training experience in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
André is USTA certified and has 10 years of coaching experience, including 2 years in the South Bay Area working with junior and adult players of all levels. He also serves as a Partner Instructor and Tournament Director at local academy, where he develops personalized training programs and oversees USTA-sanctioned events and academy camps.
André is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, and brings a rich international perspective to his coaching. He is passionate about helping players of all levels grow through the game, focusing on technical development, confidence, and a love for tennis.
